Weight Loss Injections

You might have seen information in the media that weight loss injections will be available in GP surgeries to patients who meet very strict criteria such as: 

You must have a BMI of over 40 and 4 of these weight related conditions:

• Type 2 Diabetes
• Hight blood pressure
• heart disease
• obstructive sleep apnoea 
• abnormal blood fats

Mayfield Medical Group are not currently able to prescribe this treatment as we are awaiting further guidance for the correct implementation of the service. We will keep you updated.
